An environmentally friendly alternative to standard lanyards, our rPET lanyards are made from recycled PET bottles and printed in full color using sublimation — a heat-transfer process that bonds ink directly into the fabric for vivid, fade-resistant results. Please note that rPET material naturally has a slightly glossier finish than standard polyester.

GRS-Certified: Traceable from Bottle to Lanyard

Our rPET lanyards use Topgreen® recycled filament, certified under the Global Recycle Standard (GRS). The recycling process is entirely traceable from post-consumer PET bottle to finished yarn, reducing reliance on virgin petrochemicals. Each lanyard re-purposes approximately 1.5 beverage bottles.

What is the difference between dye sublimation and screen printing on lanyards?

Dye sublimation allows for unlimited colors, gradients, and photographic detail because the dye is infused directly into the fabric. Screen printing applies ink on top of the surface and works best for simple 1–4 color logos.

How many colors can I use on a full-color sublimation lanyard?

There are no limits on the number of colors with dye sublimation. You can use as many colors, gradients, or intricate details as you like, as the entire lanyard is printed digitally in a single pass.

What is the difference between rPET and standard sublimation lanyards?

Both are printed full-color using sublimation and feel very similar in use. The key difference is the material: rPET lanyards are made from recycled PET bottles using Topgreen® yarn, certified under the Global Recycle Standard (GRS). rPET also has a slightly glossier surface than standard polyester.

Are full-color sublimation lanyards comfortable for all-day wear?

Yes. Because the dye is absorbed into the fibers rather than sitting on the surface, the finish is smooth and won't irritate the skin during long events.

How durable and fade-resistant are sublimation-printed lanyards?

Extremely durable. Since the dye becomes part of the fabric, the print cannot crack, peel, or wash off. The lanyards can even be laundered if necessary without affecting the design.

What widths are available for custom rPET lanyards?

Custom rPET lanyards are available in three widths: 16 mm, 19 mm, and 25 mm. The most popular width is 19 mm. Pricing varies by width — see the price table above.
