For an even more innovative approach, we offer Ecologie by AWDis and the Finnish brand Pure Waste. These textiles are crafted from industrial surplus—fabric scraps that would otherwise end up in landfills. The material is sorted by color, shredded, and re-spun into yarn. Because the fibers are already colored, no redyeing is required, resulting in a distinct melange finish.
The environmental savings are significant: Ecologie by AWDis reports saving 8 liters of water, 25kg of chemicals, and 25kWh of electricity per ton of raw material compared to virgin cotton. Furthermore, a single Pure Waste t-shirt saves up to 2,700 liters of water, ensuring a minimal carbon footprint and maximum sustainability.
